Supporting you throughout your child’s journey

We can help with all stages of your journey in supporting a child with additional needs from understanding what is going on through appropriate assessments, advising you on what support is needed in class, and giving you school or college ideas if you need them.

Getting started

If you have noticed that your child has difficulties and you are not sure what to do we can help with educational psychology assessment and advise you on the support that your child should receive in school as well as what the best school options might be.

“I knew my child needed more help at school and thanks to the Acorn to Oak Education team I now know what is happening and why and exactly what support my child needs. The team has also helped me work collaboratively with school to get the support in place. I can’t thank you enough.”

Finding a school or college

If you are looking to find the best educational setting for your child and are struggling to find the right place or to even know what would be the best type of setting for your child we can help.

We advise families on all types of schools in the mainstream and specialist sectors across the UK.

“Our school placement broke down and with Acorn to Oak Education’s help we soon had a new placement and had additional support in place for our child. The new setting is much more suitable and welcomed us during the middle of a term.”

Troubleshooting: advice and advocacy

Do you need help with getting the right support in place at school or college, to decide whether your child needs a new school, or are you struggling with your Education and Health Care Plan or want to know if you need a plan? We can help you at whatever stage you are at with advice and/or advocacy so that you can move forward.

“With the detailed work Acorn to Oak Education undertook to understand our child and create a support plan that was easy for the school to follow, and through the team working collaboratively with the school we now have the right support in place. And the report has been a key input in our new EHCP to help define the provision our child needs.”
