What is coaching?
We specialise in neurodivergence coaching for adults as well as parent and carer coaching for those supporting learners with additional needs.
Our team specialises in working in a neurodivergence affirming way to help each client achieve their goals in the ways that are right for them..
We coach ADHD, autistic, and dyslexic clients, for example, and have seen our clients achieve what they would like to achieve and be less at risk from burnout and overwhelm.
Coaching is highly practical and involves the coach supporting the client to improve awareness of strengths and to help the client to develop new strategies to best suit them in working towards their goals.
Often, a key focus is the environment around the client and working towards the adjustments and supports that are needed to make life easier.
“I have absolutely loved having coaching sessions with you and this has been one of the most positive things I have ever done as I have learned so many new strategies which have significantly decreased the constant anxiety that I felt for most of my life.”

Who do we work with?
Many of our clients identify as neurodivergent in some way and we are more interested in how our clients see themselves and experience the world around them rather than in a formal diagnosis. However, we understand that a formal diagnosis can be useful in accessing support and legal protections. Nevertheless, many of our neurodivergent clients find that the formal diagnostic process can feel othering and not recognise the lived experience of neurodivergence.
We also work with parents, carers and others supporting neurodivergent people.
What do we work on in coaching?
Our approach is person-centered meaning that we see each client we work with as the expert on their own life and needs. As a result, we regard our work as collaborating with each client on the subjects that they choose.
This means that we may cover subjects to do with work, life in general, relationships, planning for the future or dealing with areas that are a particular challenge at the moment.
“Coaching through Acorn to Oak Education has changed my life. I am able to be sustainably productive now and am not burning out or being overwhelmed like I used to be. I believe that I can get things done now”
