Schools

Our team of experienced specialist educational professionals helps schools with:

• Staff training in relation to neurodivergence, additional needs and mental health

• Support in creating individual support plans and adjustments for individual learners

• SENDCo support and services to help schools organise and plan adjustments and support for learners with additional needs

• Senior management support with policies, procedures, and best practice to address additional learning and positive behaviour related needs

• Advice and support regarding learners that are struggling with attendance to put appropriate plans in place working with learners and their families

• Supervision and coaching for teachers and school leaders

• Staff recruitment for individuals working with learners experiencing barriers to learning

“We have seen learners previously unable to learn at all be able to complete formal exams, and learners with very limited attendance previously, engage throughout every session due to the adjustments we have put in place. It is a privilege to see young people with the right adjustments, encouragement and support believe in themselves again and make meaningful progress towards their goals. Our team works collaboratively with other professionals and stakeholders and is child or young person centred in everything that they do.”

Local Education Authorities

Our team is experienced in working with local authorities to provide specialist educational and therapeutic support.

We deliver individual and group learning programmes for learners with additional needs based at their existing school or college placement to support inclusion within the setting, mental health, and attainment.

We also design and run therapeutic educational programmes for learners outside of formal education settings or based part-time at an educational setting.

Our team also supports learners who have not been able to attend a setting to access their education working towards transitions to mainstream or specialist educational settings.

Local authorities can refer individual learners to us.

“The Acorn to Oak Education programme has been a success.”
