Neurodivergence-Affirming Therapy

Traditional therapy models often fail to recognise the diverse sensory, emotional, and thought processes of neurodivergent individuals. Many neurodivergent people feel unseen or misunderstood in therapy—just when they need validation and understanding the most.

At Acorn to Oak Education, our therapists have lived experience and specialised training in working with neurodivergent clients. We take a trauma-informed, client-centred approach, focusing on how you think and feel, helping you understand your past experiences, and supporting the path you wish to take forward.

Our services include:

  • Online therapy sessions (50 minutes per session)

  • Short-term and long-term therapy based on your needs

  • Low-cost counselling for parents and carers

Support for:

  • Interpersonal trauma and abuse

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Burnout, masking, and late diagnosis processing

  • Sensory sensitivities and emotional regulation

  • Identity exploration and self-acceptance

  • Navigating relationships and boundaries

  • Chronic health conditions and disability-related stress

Healing is not just about personal change—it’s also about understanding the external factors that impact well-being. We recognise the role of society and the environment in mental health, and we work with you to build strategies for self-understanding, resilience, and growth.

It is never too late to pause, reflect, and take steps toward the future you want—at a pace that works for you.
