Finding educational settings
We have supported a wide range of families to find the most suitable setting for their child or young person with special educational needs and/or disabilities. We cover all types of additional needs and disabilities.
We work with our comprehensive database that includes over 30,000 settings in the UK across all types of setting including mainstream and specialist settings as well as private and state schools, academies, free schools, non-maintained schools and resource bases attached to mainstream schools. We also cover higher and further education settings and universities. We rate settings for inclusion and the types of support available. We have worked in schools and through our parent, education sector and professional networks have great insights about where inclusion is working well and which types of need are best supported in a particular setting.
Numeracy and literacy support
Our team is experienced in designing and delivering bespoke numeracy and literacy interventions for students with special educational needs or disabilities. We are experienced at identifying the levels that learners are working at and assessing the areas that need further support to improve confidence and attainment. This support is available on a one to one basis and can be delivered weekly after school in term times or during school holidays.
Developing social skills, life skills and skills for learning
We are experts in supporting the development of life, social skills and resilience skills as well as skills for learning and the workplace. We offer individual support in this area as mainstream settings are not always able to provide targeted individual support in these areas to learners with special educational needs or disabilities. We are also able to support students in further and higher study to develop learning related skills to help them succeed.
